Welcome to the Jasper Ridge Farm Odyssey Arena page that provides information about arena usage.

Jasper Ridge Farm is a non-profit organization that provides the comforting power of animals to help people in need. We serve those living with special needs, facing life threatening illness, dealing with homelessness or domestic violence and we focus on supporting youth mental health. We partner with Webb Ranch in giving special needs students from adapted PE classes the experience of riding in our HorseBuddies program, and giving Veterans suffering from PTSD and traumatic brain injury horsemanship and basic riding skills in our HorseHeroes program. The new Odyssey Arena has been made possible by the generous support of our outstanding donors.

We're excited to be sharing the Odyssey Arena with Webb Ranch. All riders must sign our liability form before riding in the Odyssey arena. Please take note of Webb community hours listed below. 

The hours the arena are open for Webb use are subject to change based on programs we run. Changes will be noted outside the arena and here on this page.

Current Schedule:

  • Closed Daily from 12 -2 pm for Jasper Ridge Farm
  • Closed Saturday from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm for the Quadrille Team only
  • Closed Saturday from 12:30 - 4pm for Jasper Ridge Farm

Liability Release Forms

All riders must sign our liability release form before riding in our arena. This is different than any Webb Ranch release. All signed forms must be returned to the black mailbox hanging on the arena fence near the entrance, or to a Jasper Ridge Farm staff member.

Odyssey Arena Use Expectations

  • Our goal is to create a peaceful, respectful atmosphere and a state of the art, well-maintained arena to be enjoyed by Jasper Ridge Farm and our friends at Webb Ranch.
  • Jasper Ridge Farm programs and animals have first priority in the covered riding arena, and Jasper Ridge Farm controls the scheduling for their requirements. All other scheduling is handles by Webb Ranch.
  • We will post a monthly schedule outside the arena specifying when the arena will be in use by Jasper Ridge Farm programs, and when it will be available for outside use.  
    • This schedule may be subject to change, and Jasper Ridge Farm reserves the right to use the arena when we need it, even though it may not be posted on the schedule.
  • Everyone using the arena must sign a Jasper Ridge Farm liability release form prior to use.
  • Everyone using the arena must know that they may encounter distractions including but not limited to: nearby farm animals, mini horses, running children, people in wheel chairs, and ponies or horses pulling carts.
  • No turnouts, no lungeing, no jumping except by Jasper Ridge Farm animals and staff.
    • We need to maintain the integrity of our arena footing and base, especially due to the nature of our programs (pony carts, sidewalkers, etc), and know these activities can undermine the footing and base.
  • Riders are expected to pick up manure as it happens. A convenient wheelbarrow and pitchfork will be provided, as well as a mounting block for convenience.
  • Webb Ranch Lesson Office lessons only. No other lessons permitted. Jasper Ridge Farm requests that a headset communication device be used when possible. We may be running a private program in the barn and loud voices in the arena may be disruptive.
  • Absolutely no dogs permitted in the arena or on the Jasper Ridge Farm site, other than Jasper Ridge Farm approved dogs participating in or training for our programs.
  • Abuse of horses, or disrespect of other riders will not be tolerated.
  • Everyone using the arena must agree to abide by the expectations set forth by Jasper Ridge Farm, and we reserve the right to refuse use of the arena to anyone willfully not abiding by the expectations.
